Highlight hair...?

i want to highlight my black/brown hair..but my mom wont let me..then i heard about the lemon method to highlight my hair...how does it work, is it useful, how long does it take, and what is the method??someone plz..tell me....i will mw greatfull....Highlight hair...?
You usually do this in the summer when the sun is out. but you just cut up lemon and squeeze it in your hair(remember your roots) then it works even better if you dip your hair in clorine. then you layout in the sun. (dont go public with it in your hair because pulp ends up in your hair and it dosnt look to good). you can also try just lemon juice (it comes in a lemon looking bottle) and put that in your hair. i personally have never tryed it but i hear it wooks too. good luck and have fun!Highlight hair...?
if you have black hair i wouldn't go too light at all, i wouldn't use the lemon because it just soundslike it would completely dry out your hair.. i woulnd't try sun in because i think your hair might turn a funky color bc im just guessing on this but i think it is for llike brown and already blonde hair.. i think maybe you should talk to your mom and be like yeah i'll pay for it (do some work and get some money of course) and be like if i hate it , then that is my problem ... (this method worked on my mommy!!)

well good luck

btw mke sure you go to a very good salon to get this done or you will probably come out with some nasty , brassy color
I think that method works best on blond hair. But you probably shouldn't do it if your Mom said you shouldn't.
i think it will dry out your hair. maybe you should wait and ask mom again.
I don't think that lemon works very well on dark hair. If you do get highlights, make sure to go to a good salon - otherwise it can lok very cheap and you can easily damage your hair when lightening...Try an Aveda salon - they use very gentle products that work very well. I go to an Aveda salon and they do the best work. Maybe you can ask your mom if you can get them where it is more of a natural sunkissed look...Good luck!
Lemon juice works best with blond hair...you probably wouldn't notice any difference if you tried it. Kool Aid (cherry) actually works for a little bit of a red tint but you should really should get it done professionally.
