I don't see that it'd be a problem since it's a lake and not a chlorine-filled pool, but I just want to make sure.Is it safe to go swimming in a lake after highlighting your hair?
Only if there area lot of minerals like well water then is may darken a little. Just use a clarifying shampoo after.

If it has chlorine then it will turn your hair green.


I probably wouldn't get in water for a couple of hours because it might mess up the highlights
